iGigBook version 1.31 currently waiting for review

This version adds the following:

External monitor support, so that you can connect your iPad to an external monitor via the apple VGA dongle and view two pages side by side.

Enhanced support for non-indexed books and scores. iGigBook will now have a new Book View item called "** My Scores **" which will contain PDFs not recognized as one of the books that are indexed. Books or scores in this list can take advantage of the new Bookmark feature which allows you to bookmark the current page that you are viewing so that you may add the bookmark to a set list. This feature gives you the best of both worlds, the ad-hoc capability of adding scores that all of the other reader apps use in addition iGigBooks unique book indexing feature.

  1. Are you going to support the Airturn Bluetooth page turning unit?

  2. We offer a free wireless page turner app for the iPhone and iPod Touch. If we get enough interest in the Airturn, we'll support that as well.

  3. Strapping an iPad or iPhone onto my foot isn't exactly my idea of a good time. Airturn is selling like wildfire, in fact the first batch sold out in one day. I don't own an iPod or iPhone and really need to be able to turn pages. Gigbook, Fourscore, and Unrealbook all now support Airturn. I expect that it would be a good move to add Airturn support to your next update, otherwise I for one will be forced to switch to a score reading app that does. I'm sure there are a lot of other people like me out there. Any user who is serious enough to buy an Airturn will certainly never go back to an app like yours where you have to strap something onto your foot to do something as crucial as turn pages.

  4. Let me first thank you for purchasing iGigBook.

We're not asking anyone to strap anything on but we would like to think that we're coming up with fresh ideas things that others didn't think of, don't want to think of or can't think of.

Kudos for AirTurn, they may be the only people actually making money in this market of $5.00 apps and developers scrambling to get any possible edge sans innovation, I think AirTurn has a winning strategy.

We're in contact with the folks over at AirTurn to get the info on their API and when we hear from them we'll roll that capability into whatever release we're planning, so stay tuned...

PS: We'll be incorporating the transposable chord charts of www.realbook.us into iGigBook as a seperate book in the early part of 2011.
