Inspiration From My Gospel Gig.

I play at a small church in The "Boogie Down" Bronx on Sundays and just recently acquired a ton of charts. Now I can take these 100 or so PDF's and drop them in my folder using iTunes for iGigBook and they'll show up in the "** My Scores **" section nicely alphabetized with the ability to search them, and that would be okay. I'll have easy access, but I want them to be in their own Gospel section and I don't want to combine them all into one book. Hmmm, what to do? Hmmm... Oh! Oh! I got it... I'll add a binders section to iGigBook so that I can drop all of the gospel charts in the gospel binder, all of the pop charts in the pop binder and all of the bossa nova charts in the bossa nova binder...you know where I'm going with this.

Stay tuned...

Set List Feature Has Wide Appeal

The set list sharing feature of iGigBook and iGBMobile allows you to share your set list via email with your band members.  It is unique in that it can also create a "gig book" PDF consisting of the tunes in your set list.  This unique feature enables people that don't own an iPad or iPhone to benefit from the feature because they can simply print the PDF.  It also benefits people that have other devices or apps because they can just load up the "gig book" that you have sent them.

iGigBook version 1.31 currently waiting for review

This version adds the following:

External monitor support, so that you can connect your iPad to an external monitor via the apple VGA dongle and view two pages side by side.

Enhanced support for non-indexed books and scores. iGigBook will now have a new Book View item called "** My Scores **" which will contain PDFs not recognized as one of the books that are indexed. Books or scores in this list can take advantage of the new Bookmark feature which allows you to bookmark the current page that you are viewing so that you may add the bookmark to a set list. This feature gives you the best of both worlds, the ad-hoc capability of adding scores that all of the other reader apps use in addition iGigBooks unique book indexing feature.
